PostCard Campaign in conjunction with SinnFein Ireland. (~completed 2018)

Cork Fibromyalgia Support Group will be joining local Sinn Fein T.D’s, Councillors, Reps in local Shopping centres to sign Postcards with the General Publin, to support us in our fight to restore Versatis Patches.  These Postcards will be presented to The Health Committee & Simon Harris on May 30th.

Peacful Protest at The Dail May 30th

Join us on May 30th from 1.30 pm for a Peaceful protest to restore Versatis Patches for all.  Helen, Kathleen & Mary, along with other members of the Admin Team & Moderator Team of Patch Us Back Up will make a presentation to The Health Committee & Simon Harris.  Cork Fibromyalgia Support Group are delighted to be part of Patch Us Back Up in such an important fight for all of us living with Chronic Pain.

Coffee Meet Ups

We regularly meet up in Cork for a cuppa & a natter. Join our closed facebook group, Fibromyalgia Chat & Support Form Ireland, to stay up to date of future meet ups.  Meet ups are generally from 10.30 to 12.30

1) Cork Mini Marathon is on September 15th 2013. It is 4km in distance
Some members have expressed an interest in taking part in order to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia, while raising funds for our Closest Charity to Fibromyalgia –Arthritis Ireland

If you are interested in Jogging, Running or indeed Crawling the 2018 mini Marathon with fellow Fibromyalgia/Arthritis Sufferers, Please email with your Name ASAP, as Arthritis Cork are looking for numbers at present for sponsor packs/t-shirts

2)  ******* Proposed AUTUMN Meeting for Cork Fibromyalgia Suppomrt Group*************

It is hoped to hold an Introduction to Mindfullness Workshop with Alison Winfield.
Some of You will remember Alison, From the Dr. Woods Conference.  Alison has been working closely with The Irish M.E Trust, running Mindfullness classes for M.E Sufferers

The Workshop will be approx 2 &1/2 Hours long (with a break of course) to be held on a Saturday Morning at Bru Columbas, Wilton Cork. (dates to be confirmed shortly)

Alison will through this workshop teach breathing techniques, Body scans, different kinds of meditation and guided imagery.

PLEASE NOTE—PLACES WILL BE LIMITED to 12 per workshop, There will also be a small fee payable by those who register for this workshop (amount to be confirmed) but will be subsidized by Cork Fibromyalgia Support Group


People who attended the mindfullness workshop, found it 
of great benefit & continue to use it daily.

2) We hope to have Dr. Kieran O’Sullivan of attend one of our meetings. Dr. O’Sullivan is a lecturer at University of Limerick as well as working in a Clinical Practice, as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Pysio Therapist
